Growing up without a father, Andra Farizki Ramdhani, a 10th-grade student of People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta, has not let his circumstances hold him back. Raised by his hardworking single mother, Andra found new hope through the People’s School initiative introduced by President Prabowo Subianto. Despite facing financial challenges, Andra expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive a proper education through the People’s School.
The People’s School where Andra studies is a boarding school, providing him with a structured daily routine that includes morning prayers, exercise, classes, and evening check-ins with his family. While adjusting to dorm life has been both challenging and rewarding, Andra appreciates the camaraderie and support he receives from his friends at the school.
Andra credits the complete facilities at SRMA 10 for creating a conducive learning environment that helps him stay focused. He actively participates in extracurricular activities, such as judo and the student flag-raising team, while excelling in his favorite subject, informatics. Despite not having a father figure, Andra remains determined to pursue his ambitions of becoming a judo athlete and attending the Defense University (Unhan) for higher education.
For Andra, his dreams are not just personal goals but also a way to honor his mother, who has always been his biggest supporter. Grateful for the opportunity to study without financial burden at the People’s School, Andra recognizes the importance of the initiative in providing underprivileged children with access to quality education.
From the classroom to the sports field and the dormitory, every experience at the People’s School shapes Andra’s knowledge and independence. With determination and his mother’s unwavering prayers, Andra believes that his dreams are now within reach, thanks to the support and opportunities provided by the People’s School.
