French President Emmanuel Macron recently paid a visit to Indonesia, underscoring the longstanding and substantive partnership between the two nations. Macron emphasized that the relationship between Indonesia and France goes beyond mere symbolism and represents a genuine and robust cooperation. President Prabowo Subianto warmly welcomed Macron at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta during his visit.

The diplomatic ties between Indonesia and France have spanned 75 years, witnessing substantial advancements over the past decade. Cultural synergy also took center stage for Macron, with a cultural pact set to be signed at the Borobudur Temple compound as a symbolic gesture of the deepening friendship between the two nations.
