Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Indonesia Outdoor Festival (Indofest) 2024 officially opened on July 4, 2024 at Hall B Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). This annual event presents attractive discounts on products from outdoor brands from both domestic and international brands.
This year’s “Lebaran Anak Outdoor” event is held for four days, from July 4 to July 7, 2024. There are at least 135 brands participating, with 80 percent of them being local products.
The enthusiasm of the people who want to hunt for outdoor equipment can be seen since the first day, according to observations from the Lifestyle Team of Liputan6.com. To minimize crowding, the brands have arranged a queue system so that visitors can freely choose the outdoor equipment they are eyeing.
“For online ticket purchases on the first day, we reached 15,000 people, not including on-the-spot purchases. Our target for this year is to have 50,000 visitors over the four days,” said Chief Executive Officer of COS Event, Disyon Toba during the opening in Jakarta on Thursday (4/7/2024).
Disyon also explained that the outdoor world is increasingly popular among Indonesian people. This can be seen from the numerous outdoor activities that are now available, as well as the increasing number of weekly running events.
“Not only that, the enthusiasm of people who want to go to the mountains is also increasing. This indicates that people are becoming more aware of health and outdoor activities,” he said, adding that camping activities are still a favorite for many people.
