Jakarta – Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the vice presidential candidate number two from the Koalisi Indonesia Maju, emphasized the importance of supporting the creative economic industry, particularly by providing easy financing facilities.
He pointed out that the creative economic industry has experienced rapid growth during the Covid-19 pandemic and continues to thrive. Therefore, he stressed the importance of government support, especially in fostering start-ups.
Gibran cited an example in Solo, where a special start-up program in local banks provides assistance with initial capital. This is aimed at facilitating young entrepreneurs in developing their businesses, especially when they lack assets that can be used as collateral.
In an interview titled “Info A1 This Time Gibran Talks Long, Ready for Debate?” on YouTube, Gibran mentioned, “If there is Bank Jateng here that provides a special start-up program. We create start-ups that do not have assets yet, they can access capital without collateral, that’s the most important thing.”
He went on to urge the government to nationalize and expand this program to make it easier for players in the creative industry across Indonesia.
“This program is already in place, and we need to make it a nationwide initiative,” he concluded. (SENOPATI)
