Israel sends Tanks to Lebanon
Despite some Palestinians being forced to stay in a unit for ‘only’ 24 hours, others ended up staying for two days or even a week, according to the report. Israel has destroyed much of Gaza, causing a severe shortage of basic necessities, including water, food, medicines, and electricity, all of which worsen the spread of diseases.
Tel Aviv has killed at least 40,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 92,000 others. Thousands have died under the rubble of bombed houses, while around 10,000 Palestinians have been abducted by the Israeli army.
However, about 45 American doctors, surgeons, and nurses, who have been volunteering in Gaza since last October, say the potential death toll from Israel’s genocidal war is already over 92,000. According to a study published in the Lancet journal, the cumulative effects of Israel’s war in Gaza could mean the actual death toll could reach over 186,000.
This report underscores the urgent need for international action to end practices that violate the law and protect the basic rights of Palestinian civilians.
