Intan Syazwani Moh Hairizan (20) and Muhammad Shamsul Bahari (32) from Malaysia have a unique love story that began when Intan responded to Shamsul’s Instastory. Intan used to be Shamsul’s student when he taught Physics at a learning center in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia. At that time, they were not close and their relationship was purely student-teacher.
Four years later, they reconnected after Intan added her former teacher on Instagram. Shamsul was surprised to see how much Intan had changed since her school days. Their communication blossomed on Instagram and eventually led to their marriage on August 18, 2018. Their story went viral after Shamsul shared it on Twitter.
Despite their 12-year age gap, it was not an issue for them. Shamsul admires Intan’s independence and maturity, while Intan has no problem with Shamsul being a widower. In fact, she has a close bond with Shamsul’s 6-year-old child.
