In the first half, Liverpool immediately pushed forward and had a chance through Luiz Dias, but it didn’t result in a goal. In the 32nd minute, Sterling managed to score a goal, but after the VAR check, the goal was disallowed due to offside. The score remained 0-0 until halftime.
Entering the second half, Van Dijk scored a goal, but Endo was deemed offside in the process, keeping the score at 0-0 until the end. The match then continued into extra time with 2×15 minutes.
During the first 15 minutes of extra time, there were no significant chances for either team. Meanwhile, in the second 15 minutes, Virgil Van Dijk scored in the 118th minute, which turned out to be the only goal of the game and stood until the end of the match.
